Yes — PayGate Content Restriction connects directly to your Stripe account to process payments. There are no additional fees beyond Stripe's standard processing rate (2.9% + 30¢ per transaction). You keep 100% of everything Stripe pays out to you.
Yes. PayGate Content Restriction is built to be theme-agnostic. The paywall templates use scoped CSS that won't conflict with your theme's styles. Theme authors can even drop custom paywall templates into their theme folder without modifying the plugin.
Yes. PayGate Content Restriction includes a member self-service dashboard (add it to any page with a shortcode) where members can view their subscription details and cancel. Cancellation is handled through Stripe, so billing stops at the end of the current period.
The free plan allows one active membership tier. You can restrict as many posts and pages as you want to that tier, but creating a second tier requires upgrading to Pro. The Modern paywall template is included in the free plan.
Existing members retain their access — PayGate Content Restriction never touches live membership data on a plan change. Pro-only admin features (analytics, bulk tools) become unavailable to you as the admin, but your members' subscriptions and access are not affected.
Yes. Pro licenses receive automatic updates directly in your WordPress dashboard via the Freemius integration — just like any plugin from WordPress.org. You'll see update notices and can update with one click.
